I have a question. With energy prices rising, is a freezer still a cost conscious thing? I heard that the fridge takes most of the energy that you pay for day to day. Is a freezer still a good idea?

May I just let you know that I am not an illiterate idiot? Believe it or not, this blasted filter deleted a different word from that last comment. It was supposed to say, "Apparently, that is now a ________ word..." (fill in the blank with the ajective "n-a" followed by "u-g-h" followed by "t-y.")

Please, if anything I write makes no sense, realize that it is not my fault, my filter has gone crazy! I will not bother you any more with this fiasco. Sorry!

Yes! It deleted it and I did scream! I know some of you may be curious as to what horribly offensive word I am using. It begins with an "a" followed by "d-u" followed by "l-t." Apparently that is now a word and quite shocking that I might use such language!

Re: my previous conmment...Argh! Silly filter! We have a pretty strong filter on our computer because we have teens and kids in the house we are trying to protect from internet trash. However, sometimes it blanks out words that are being used in a perfectly g-rated fashion. I do NOT have "2 s" in my family. I have 2 - - - - -s...okay, it may not even let the hyphenated version go through...let's say 2 grown-ups. Good grief! (and if the filter bleeps out anything in this entry, I am going to scream!)

I have a question...WHERE do you keep your freezer? I do not have a garage. I do not have a basement. I do have 2 s and 7 kids living in a little over 2000 square feet! I would love a freezer! Any suggestions on good camouflage? Hmmm...maybe I could faux finish it and use it as a coffee table?

I am serious. I really would love any suggestions for folks like me who do not have the "usual" freezer hide-spots. Where can we put one?

I don't have a freezer but I'm considering getting a small one, even though I just became an empty nester. It would be mostly for the making-more-than-you-need-and-freezing-the-rest concept. Not only does that come in handy on nights I don't want to cook, but I can also send my son home with some of his favorite dinners as well. Thanks for all the ideas on what CAN be freezed. I was already freezing flour and it'd be nice to get that out of my everyday freezer space as well.
