My sister in law had one of those on her previous car. She worked in an area that got cold and freezy in the winter so she would leave the defrost/heat blasting when she got out of the car and then she would start the car from inside her office. By the time she got outside the windows were nicely thawed and the inside of the car was toasty.
I still think wistfully about it…
