Never been quite so glad for Friday

As we come to the end of what’s been the longest week of my life in recent history, I’ve never been quite so delighted to see the Amazon Friday Sale alive and well. Woo! It gives us something lovely to end the week on, and hopefully by Monday I will feel like a real boy, er, living human, again.

I have it on good authority that this caramel pirate booty is not only healthier than caramel corn, it’s safe for orthodontic-wearing children to whom you’re afraid to feed anything even slightly sticky. (I’m torn; that’s such a great price, but I ordered a case of Terra Chips yesterday and how many snacks can I cram into my pantry, really?)

They have a nice laptop backpack on sale.

Is it possible that anyone who reads Want Not doesn’t have one of these chef’s skillets yet?

It’s a blender! It’s a food processor! No, wait—it’s both!

Holy crow, that’s a nice price on an awesome set of pots.

I can tell I’m starting to feel better, because I perked right up when I saw this: Scooba!

I love the comment on the Cusinart Duet (which I own, by the way and loved till I just saw how much too much I paid for it. *sigh*)

Magic Shimmer is a floor wax AND a dessert topping!

    those pots are SOOOOOOOO awesome!

Heather – the duet that you saw was a “reconditioned” one, so don’t feel so bad about what you paid!!! I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to get those pots and pans…but it ain’t gonna happen…sigh….

I received my broiler yesterday. What do you know, it won’t fit in my teeny, tiny oven? I’m going to give it to my mom. That’s a big broiler for $10!

I just want to praise the goodness that is Amazon. I ordered a set of Lenox wine glasses for about $20. They were damaged and returned before they even got to me. Amazon immediately processed a refund. When I went to reorder, of course, the price had changed, and they are now almost $40. When I sent an email asking whether I could get the previous price, they said they would honor that price. So buy, buy, buy from Amazon, but don’t forget to go through this site as a thanks to Mir for finding such great deals!

In case anyone’s on the fence, I have that exact set of pots and I cannot say enough good things about them. They are awesome beyond words and it has never been such a joy to cook.

I caved and ordered a refurbished Scooba. I’ve been lusting over it for so long. I can’t tell you the last time that I mopped my floor… It can’t come soon enough!

I have that Cuisinart, and LOVE IT. We registered and received it as a wedding present 6 years ago. Many smoothies, margaritas, pina coladas and who-knows-what-elses later, it’s still going like a champ.
