May 29, 2007 | Hot Hot Hot!, For the kids
I don’t understand why toymakers insist on making things on “boy” and “girl” colors. There must be a market for it, but it annoys me to no end.
It doesn’t annoy me quite enough that I’d pass up a deal like this, though: Get yourself a 96-piece Geomag Pastelles set (ooooh! girly and so French!) right now for just $7.29; that’s 71% off the regular price.
Give it to a girl. Give it to an enlightened boy. Heck, just play with ‘em yourself. I’m not naming any names, but someone around here has been known to build a sculpture or two while the kids are at school….

May 29th, 2007 at 2:18 pmI was just thinking of this boy/girl color thing a few weeks ago, when I saw a “Tool kit for Mom!” advertised for Mother’s Day. They were totally ordinary tools, but with pink handles. I was repulsed……..and also thought they were, um, pretty.
May 29th, 2007 at 2:21 pmI think I fixed the link, but if it\’s not coming up right, check the righthand column labeled \”more buying choices\” and select Amazon for $7.29.
May 29th, 2007 at 2:22 pmAaaaaaand… now they appear to be gone. Sheesh. Sorry, guys.
May 29th, 2007 at 2:28 pmThat one was quick! Too bad - my daughter loves magnets and I love a great deal for the birthday/Christmas closet! Thanks anyways Mir!
May 29th, 2007 at 2:53 pmThere’s another Geomag Pastelles deal up right now: a 60-piece set, normally $14.99, for $6.34.
