September 26, 2007 | For the kids, Hot Hot Hot!
I’m doomed. Amazon is having a big sale on children’s books, and some of them are also part of the Buy 3, Get the 4th Free promotion.
I still have a box of books sitting here from the last time they did this. But, um, it’s books. That makes it okay! I think! And don’t forget that most teachers absolutely love to receive donations to the classroom library for holiday gifts and such rather than getting another mug. Just sayin’.

This is so scary…so many good titles…must. hide. credit card. I wonder how quickly I could write a grant…

How can you tell if they’re part of the buy 3, get the 4th deal? And any idea how long this sale will run? Thanks for all the great tips, pretty lady!

Not sure about the length of the sale (Amazon is somewhat infamous for changing prices on the fly) but the eligible books will say something in the description about being part of the buy 3, get 1.

Oh Mir, Have I mentioned how pretty you are lately? I just got 16 hard cover or board books for my toddler for $21, shipped. I think I love you…

I don’t know what I was thinking…I put a bunch of stuff in my cart late last night and then thought, well, I’ll sleep on it (because I was cross-eyed from perusing 1,600 children’s book titles at 1 o’clock in the morning…) and now all the books are marked back up again. Phooey. Next time, I will act impulsively, and sleep be damned!
Thanks anway, Mir — Wantnot has been ROCKIN’ lately.

Yeah, I let my shopping cart sit while I went and got the oil changed in my car… when I returned, a bunch of the books had gone up in price (though 1 had gone down) and several others were no longer available through Amazon. So I had to spend another ridiculous amount of time going back through the 1300 or so books. But the end result was getting 8 or 9 books and a sticker advent calendar for just over $26 shipped. Thanks again oh pretty one!

I just got an email from Amazon that they won’t be shipping me more than half my order of books. Boo hiss!!
I was so excited to get these for my little one…shame on Amazon for deciding that the sale cost them too much.
