And speaking of Vidsters. . .

If you decide that what you’re really after is a Vidster—and I would recommend that for a child under, say, 8 or so—check out this third-party listing at Amazon. They’re selling them for $24.97 and $5.99 shipping, which is the lowest I’ve seen in a long time.

(For an older child, consider this Aiptek digicam I wrote about yesterday.)

Oooh, I jumped on that for xmas. My daughter just turned 7 and this will be perfect for her. She’s not yet ready for the Aiptek.

    Thanks!

I bought one for my 7 yo for his birthday this summer and it’s been a huge hit. He uses all the time!

Got one. I’m so excited, I’ve been thinking of getting one of these for a while.

BB: I saw that, but it doesn’t have any small parts and appears to be virtually indestructible, plus it’s basically one button. I’d say 5+ is more realistic, and by 9 or 10 your kid is going to want something more sophisticated. This is all just my opinion, of course.

I bought one last year after you linked to it and have saved it for this Christmas. I had forgotten about it until now. Mir…you’re so pretty.
