So, the fine folks at HP came to me and said, “We’re making these new photo books we think you might really like. Want to try them?” And I said yes, because they told me I’m pretty and you know I can’t resist that. I was interviewed in connection with the project, as well, and in general a good time was had by all. We made a photo album for my son’s soccer coach and it was really easy (I can say that, because my husband did all the work! HA!) and came out absolutely beautiful.
So if you’re wanting to make some of these albums yourself, at home, I urge you to check them out, and also the lovely Susan Getgood has posted a coupon you can use on your purchase to get 20% off through the end of the year.

I love the photo book as a gift. I made one for both sets of grandparents last year that chronicled the first year of our daughters life. This year I am making books for both again as they were such a hit last year.

Why Pretty Mir, these would make fantastic scrapbooks for my Tiger Cubs. One of the requirements is to make a family scrap book. I am taking so many pictures while we do activities that they think the camera is part of my face.

This is such an awesome gift idea! It takes some work, but each year for the last ten years my sister and I have made one of these (not HP, but other brands) for my mom. We includes pics from events from the entire previous year and put funny captions on them. Every year she asks, “When am I going to get my photo album?” and we joke with her that we quit doing them but then surprise her with it anyway. She looks through all the old ones each Christmas Eve. She cries. We smile. We always know what we’re getting mom. Everyone is happy.

Just in case it matters (which it doesn’t cause it’s a random drawing, right?) I’m doing a book like this for my dad for X-mas (even if I don’t win). He did a journal of a trip to Hawaii the whole family went on together, so my plan it to put the pix w/the words & have it printed in book form. I know he’ll love it.
