Have one tax question you’re dying to have explained to you? For the month of January, TurboTax is letting everyone submit one tax question to be personally answered by a professional.

I’m sure they’ll be trying to sell you TurboTax, but if you have a complicated question but don’t want to employ a tax specialist or hang on hold with the IRS for six hours, you might want to check ‘em out.

   Thanks for this, Mir. My dad was just wondering how to classify a settlement check he received for a work-related auto accident as income on his taxes. (Whew) I forwarded this on to him. He’ll be using Turbo Tax anyway, since we are also State Farm customers. Thanks for that as well!

   Wow, thank you for this!! Similar to Andrea’s dad, I am awaiting a settlement from a car accident and have NO idea how to claim it on my taxes.
