Oh, how I love the Discovery Channel. Yes, I am a geek. So it’s possible that I’m salivating a bit over this Best of Discovery Collection Volume 4 DVD Set
, which contains 5 discs of great Discovery Channel shows, including my family’s favorite—Mythbusters. It’s just $9.99 (already a bargain), but when you add it to your cart you’ll see an automatic $3 discount, which more or less covers your shipping.
And then you can watch the Mythbusters blow stuff up, or other great geektastic shows. It’s educational. Stop looking at me like that.

January 31st, 2008 at 1:07 pmthanks, liz
neither did mine…
January 31st, 2008 at 1:47 pmNO discount for me, either.
January 31st, 2008 at 1:47 pmMine either!
January 31st, 2008 at 1:54 pmThanks!!
Okay, I’m reading that the discount is a little funny. First of all, it seems to be working most reliably with Firefox. Second, don’t go to checkout from the little pop-up box it gives you after you add it to your cart. Close that box, and access your shopping cart from the link on the upper right of the page.
That should cause the discount to show up.
January 31st, 2008 at 2:02 pmOh Deadlist Catch…how I love that show. And my 3-yo daughter LOVES to watch Dirty Jobs. Discovery Channel rocks. So, I am a geek, too. Whatever!
January 31st, 2008 at 3:33 pmHmmm. Tried the tips, but it’s still 9.99. Which is pretty good, anyway, so I think I’ll go for it. Thanks, Mir!
January 31st, 2008 at 3:45 pmThe discount didn’t show up for me either, even with your suggestion Mir. I sent an email to customer service asking about it after the order was submitted. $3 is worth it in my opinion!
January 31st, 2008 at 3:51 pmI couldn’t get the discount, either—could it be an affiliate thing?
I did put my email address in the little box near the top, though, and got a $5 discount for that.
January 31st, 2008 at 9:37 pmI should clarify that it was a “$5 off $25″ discount.
