I have a crank flashlight that I keep in my car, and although it’s true that it’s not as bright as a big honkin’ conventional flashlight, I love knowing that this one will always work. No more fumbling for batteries in the dark!
Kohls has several sets of LED crank flashlights on clearance right now. These make excellent stocking stuffers, by the way. Choose from red and silver, yellow and silver, or blue and silver. Each set of two flashlights is $9. Or, choose a single weatherband radio flashlight for that emergency kit, for the same price. There’s lots of other stuff on clearance too, of course.
Kohls charge card holders can use coupon code MVCsave15 for an additional 15% off, plus use coupon code MVC3678 for free shipping. If you’re not a card holder, you can use coupon code NEW5779 for 10% off and free shipping on orders over $75.

No, not the kind that keeps elbows off your table. Though that would be a best-seller, I have no doubt.
No, I’m talking about the PC game Civilization IV: Gold Edition. It’s just $19.99 today at Amazon with free shipping, and appears to still be around $50 everywhere else. I hear this one is a popular choice amongst gamers.
But what do I know? I’m still trying to get the elbows off my kitchen table, most days.

Nordstrom, of all places. Really!
They have the Crocs Women’s Mary Jane
, the Crocs Unisex Cayman
, and the Crocs Little Kids’ Georgie Boot
all for $14.90 apiece (half off).
Shipping is a flat $5 per order, so this turns into an awesome deal if you need several pairs.

This is a subject near and dear to my heart, and I’ve talked about it before, but I think it bears repeating.
I have a tremendous amount of respect for financial advisors like Dave Ramsey who have practical advice for people in dire financial straits. Truly, my admiration for them is vast and this is not about me saying “he’s wrong” or anything like that.
Nevertheless, I submit to you that any “cash only” plan for living is not only limiting, it potentially decreases how much money you have. (more…)

Okay, I feel I must preface this with the caveat that this is not necessarily my style, but should you be looking for (or hoping for) a bit of super-shiny heart-themed bling for Valentine’s Day, this would certainly fit the bill:
Today only, get the “Always In My Heart” box from San Francisco Music Box for half price—$19.95. Order enough to total $65 or more and you can use coupon code FS1065 for free shipping and 10% off (expires January 31st, 2008). Just ordering that? Use coupon code CCFS8 for free shipping on any size order (expires March 31st, 2008).

I don’t watch Lost, possibly because by the time I figured out that everyone thought it was amazing, I figured I was too far behind to catch up. Still, I keep vowing to rent or buy it, someday. You know, when I have time. Stop laughing.
Anyway, if you got yourself a shiny new Blu-Ray over the holidays and are feeling the Lost love, you should know that right now Amazon’s got the complete third season on Blu-Ray DVD for just $39.99. That’s apparently a steal.
(But what do I know? I’m just the person who’s barely switched off of The Learning Channel since the WGA strike.)

Have a local Borders? Are you a member of their Borders Rewards club? If not, you should sign up—it’s easy, and it’s free, and it gets you neat little savings here and there, like the ability to use this 40% off one book coupon. (Applies to purchases over $20, some exclusions apply in the fine print, etc.) (But yay! Cheap books!)

Not that you have PMS. Certainly not! But when other people have PMS, sometimes they require a snack that is both chocolatey and salty. And those people, they might want to try this new chocolate turtle Chex Mix for free. Perhaps you should sign up for some, just in case one of those folks drops by your house for a visit.

Have my previous thumb drive deals not been enough for you? Are you looking for a more manly drive, one that can hold a super-sized amount of information?
Well of course you are. You big hunka-hunka data-burning love, you.
How about a SanDisk 4GB Titanium Cruzer for $29.03 shipped, big boy? That’s right. I thought you’d like that.
You look cooler already… as if that was even possible.
