The savings last all week

Office Depot wants you to know that their Memorial Day Sale-a-Bration is continuing all week long, and as some of the savings are pretty decent, I am even going to excuse them for calling it a Sale-a-Bration.

(Seriously? Did their marketing people manage that with a straight face?)

Anyway, there’s plenty of deals to be had—free paper when you buy toner, cheap hard drives and CDs, etc.

Don’t forget that coupon code 99012634 is still valid for 10% off everything but technology, through the end of the month. Or go through this link right here to automatically save $30 on your $150+ order, if you’re making a larger purchase.

Orders of $50+ ship for free, automatically, and usually the very next day. I loves me some Office Depot, people.

Shrub a dub dub

Doing a bit of landscaping? Home Depot is offering a coupon to its Garden Club members which allows you to buy one shrub, get one free. I got mine via email, but a bit of digging around revealed that they’re not uniquely coded, so, um, why not have a whole bunch? You could share ‘em with your friends, or go to several different stores. Either way.

Here you go: Take six; they’re small.

Happy gardening!

Wednesday, all day

It’s been a while since I’ve posted the JC Penney Wednesday Deals, and that’s because they haven’t been all that thrilling of late. I’m sort of digging the Mission Style Clock they have up today, though, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Try coupon code MAYRSURV for 15% off any order, or code SUPERSUM for free shipping on $49+.

(I like how—if I like the clock—they think I’ll also like these. Because I think those are scary.)

Daddy wants a dishwasher-safe grill

You may remember that there was a deal on this fabulous little item at Amazon a while back, but this is the cheapest I’ve seen it, recently. And really, Father’s Day is coming, and nothing says “thanks for raising me” or “thanks for raising my kids” like something you can use to char meat. Right? Right!

So, right now the George Foreman Next Grilleration Grillicon is marked down to just $90.99 at Linens ‘N’ Things. (This is the one with 5 different sets of removable, dishwasher-safe plates, by the way—the latest model.)

Use coupon code 26620000008 to take 20% off one item, making this just $73 before tax. Ship it to the store and pick it up for free, or spring for the shipping. Either way, you’ll more than beat the current Amazon price of $99.99.

And now I have an inexplicable craving for a hot dog. Huh.

I dunno about you, but I can use some lifting

This one is both a sweepstakes entry and a free sample, and really, just the free Aveda Lifting Serum would be enough for me.

One, because it’s Aveda, and that stuff is magic.

Two, because it supposedly lifts, and short of attaching strings between my face and the ceiling, I’ll try whatever I can get. Just sayin’.

Need a laptop webcam?

Here’s a neat little deal if you’re wanting a webcam for your laptop.

(Normally this is where I would insert my snarky comments about how if only you had a Mac you’d already have a webcam, built in. But in light of my computer’s recent woes I will refrain.)

Right now Amazon has the Logitech QuickCam Deluxe marked down to just $39.99 with free shipping. That’s not a bad price, but pair it with the available $30 rebate and it’s a great deal.

If you need a webcam, that is.

Bad news, good news

The bad news is that Old Navy has changed their shipping policy; all orders now incur a flat $7 fee rather than $5. Boo.

The good news is that I have a free shipping code you can use, because you’re pretty and I don’t think you should have to pay for shipping. You don’t need their credit card, either. Just use coupon code 1CHECKOUT in the promotions field through the end of the month, and pay nothing for shipping.

Hey, if nothing else, you could use some of those 2 for $5 flip flops for the beach this summer, right?

Creativity + Education = Happy Kids + Happy Moms

I have a totally awesometastic (that’s a word, because I say so) contest for you today, courtesy of Education.com, a fabulous resource site for parents. I’d probably say that even if they weren’t offering up some cool toys for the kids, even.

As it happens, though, Education.com wants to give away three cool toys to Want Not readers. All three have already received their A+ seal of approval, and all three will afford your kiddos hours of fun. Here’s what you could win:

Any of those sound good? Of course they do! Here’s what you need to do to win: Leave a comment on this post by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28th, 2008, telling me which ONE toy you’d most like to win. This becomes something of a game of strategy, because you may only ask for one toy and the first number drawn will get their pick. The second number drawn will only win if their pick is still available, and so on. Pick one and cross your fingers. One entry per person, valid email address, follow the directions, do not pass Go, do not collect $200, etc.

Winners to be determined by random number generation and stacks of elephants. As soon as I find some elephants willing to be stacked, that is.

Go!

Take 1/3 off one item

Here’s a nice Memorial Day deal for you: Today (Monday, May 26th, 2008) only, take 33% off any one item at Family Christian with coupon code 1186899.

Their usual restrictions apply, which means that it won’t work on electronics, Willow Tree, Family Values or Members Only items, or a few other things.

If you’ve never shopped them before and aren’t looking for religious items, don’t rule them out. They have—among other things—a nice array of Chronicles of Narnia books and gear. It’s not all bibles, is my point. Though of course they have those, too.

Shutting up now. Just go look if you feel like it, okay?

It’s time for savings

Need a new watch? Right now Amazon has a nice assortment of Pulsar watches marked way down; great for picking up a high-quality extra, or if you’re looking for a gift.

(Or if you’re like me, and your watches seem to die unexpectedly every so often, it’s nice to be able to get a good watch at a cheap price.)
