Want Not loves 11Alive News

Some of you have been kind enough to drop me a note to let me know you saw me on the local news yesterday, and a couple of others have mailed to ask where the clip can be seen.

Here it is!

Many thanks to 11Alive news and to Valerie Hoff for taking the time to come check out my little corner of the web!

You are adorable and gracious. And your blog wouldn’t be nearly so popular if it weren’t so freakin’ FUNNY! Thanks for keeping us informed AND entertained on a daily basis, Mir!!

You missed the perfect opportunity! When she asked how much money you make, you could have answered, “Buckets and buckets of money!” then tugged your ear and given a big wink. Maybe they would have added a “ting!” sound and a big starry twinkle in your eye. You know, for us. Oh well, except for that one missed opportunity, that was a great piece! You looked lovely and sounded smart.

That was a great piece….and you looked VERY PRETTY!

When did it become ok to ask people how much money they make? I know it happens but rude much?

I’m so jealous of your pretty, curly hair. Good job and hope the exposure increases the unshared amount of money you make. I’m glad you didn’t say and I hope that it is LOTS! :)

You were very gracious! And yes, I read you for a long time, tried to cut back on my blogroll, and I’ve added you back now that it’s Christmastime!

You know Mir, I consoled myself that you could be so dang funny AND a savvy shopper because you were homely and half-man.

    I’d be lying if I didn’t say I’m a little depressed that you’re also a hottie.

Why do some girls have it all?

Great clip except for the part where they asked you how much money you make. Tacky and rude. I love your look as they asked you though because I could tell you saw it coming. I love that I’ve been reading you for years already and knew you before….Congratulations on your success. I know you’ve worked hard to get there.

    Wha? My comment got et.

Homely and a half-man? Angela is a hoot!

Great interview. No one would ever have guessed you had a sick kid lolling on the couch.

Apparently I spend too much time on your sites, Mir. My husband saw the video and said, “Hey, that’s Mir!” *laughs* When you mentioned the readers who aren’t really looking to shop specifically and are just reading to read and be entertained, he said, “That’s like you, honey.” Yep. You’ve become a staple in our household. *winks*

My husband said I have to mention that we DO get plenty of good deals from this site, though. Although he’s wondering if that’s such a good thing, since a good deal IS hard to pass up. However, you alone have saved me TONS on shipping and handling fees, which may make up for not passing up a few other good deals in the past.

I can’t remember when I started reading you (at least a year if not more) but I come at least once if not twice or three times a day. Never knowing what you’ll post and my hubby as well, knows you as the deal lady in our house!

Or at least the lady that found my very pretty new winter coat, last years x-mas gifts, the pizza coupons (restaruant.com has our fav pizza place) and I’ve given your website to many a co-worker or friends with little ones. Who cares how much money you make. I just like how much money you save me! :)

Mir, it’s so good to finally “see” you! You are very, very pretty, and thanks for the deals!

I am definitely one of the ones that comes whether I’m shopping or not. Usually I haven’t planned on shopping until after I see the deals. My husband both looks foward to and dreads my daily Want Not fix!
