Happy New Year!

January 1, 2009

Gooooood morning! I hope you celebrated in style last night. We sure did; my father noted that it’s midnight in Rio when it’s only 10:00 here, freeing us up to both celebrate early and to feel extremely fancy.

If part of your New Year’s Resolutions have to do with getting healthier in 2009, you might want to check out Amazon’s new deal on Honest Foods Country Squares. They’re all-natural, wheat-free and completely vegan… and best of all, if you buy one, you can use code HONESTFD to get another one for free. These are normally ridiculously pricey, but the discount brings ’em down to a reasonable cost.

And you’ll feel virtuous. Baby steps for the new year, and all that.

  1. Hee. I was reading too fast and thought that said “HEAVIER in 2009,” and I was like, “Hey, I LIKE that resolution! I think I can DO that one!”

  2. I don’t normally make resolutions (I’m an “every new day” kind of person instead of an “every new year” kind), but I did want to wish you a happy New Year and say that I look forward to reading your blogs and finding new deals in 2009.

  3. I’m not sure what happened, but I put one in my cart and entered the code and it said that my total was $0.00. I placed the order so we will see what happens! Was I supposed to add two to my cart?

  4. Happy 2009 sista. Looking forward to more from you this year. I seriously like your writing better than the deals. I can always talk myself out of a good deal, but not good writing.

  5. My parents hit the local Mensa party every year, where they declare “Happy New Year!” at Greenwich Mean Time (about 7:00 pm or 7:30 around here), then have dinner, then leave for another party or home to bed. Sounds good to me!

  6. Happy New Year!
