Get in on the Dillyeo!

You know I have a deep affinity for deal-a-day sites like Woot! and Stootsi and ThingFling—they offer deep discounts on various items, and are usually amusing, to boot.

There’s a new site in town, and they’re so sure you’ll like ‘em, they’re giving away money. Really. Check it out: Take a trip over to Dillyeo.com today and pick up a free $10 gift card!

The offer is good today only, so get on over there and sign up for yours. (The only “catch” is that they’ll ask you to refer a friend. Surely you have a spouse or a friend or a dog who’d like a card as well….) Once you receive your card, you’ll have money to spend towards a future Dillyeo!

Super-fancy, cheaper

Y’all understand that it’s not like I shop at Nordstrom regularly; they are, by and large, way out of my price range. But every now and then, when they’re having a big sale, and I need a special occasion dress or whatever… well, let’s just say sometimes I can make it work.

So I’m just letting you know that the 60% off Winter Clearance Event is on right now at Nordstrom. Just in case you have a special event coming up, or you got a little extra cash in your Christmas stocking, or whatever. It’s not like I’m holding a gun to your head. I’m just letting you know.

P.S. Orders over $200 ship for free. Just sayin’.

I’ll dip ‘em in Lysol, first

I have another cold. I know that—because I have kids and also because I am so rarely ill—this comes as a huge shock. I’m sure the pity for my state flows endlessly, and that—hey, where are you going?

Okay, nevermind my cold. How about I just give some stuff away? I promise to try really hard not to cough on it, first.

Today I’ve got two gift cards up for grabs; the first winner will receive $20 to spend at Macy’s (either online or in-store), and the second winner will get a measly $5 to spend at Dunkin Donuts… except that that’s enough to buy two of their new flatbread eggwhite sandwiches with two coffees, so maybe it’s not so measly after all.

Want to win one? Go review the standard contest rules and information and then come back and leave a comment on this post before 11:59 p.m. Eastern (8:59 Pacific) on Wednesday, January 28th, 2009 to be entered.

Winner to be determined by random number generation and Nyquil. Mmmmm… Nyquil.

Ready? Go!

Restocked grocery deals

It looks to me like some of the previously sold-out items in the Amazon Grocery Clearance have been restocked. It might be worth another look if you gave up on it the other day. Code DISCNT4O still takes an additional 40% off those eligible items.

But I am not buying those salt and vinegar potato chips. Nuh-uh. I don’t need them. Even if they are incredibly cheap. And salty. And delicious.

Excuse me, I need a moment.

Extremely shiny

I’ve become obsessed with flat-screen HDTVs.

Maybe it’s because the Super Bowl is coming up, or maybe it’s because I know I’m too cheap to buy one until our television up and dies, but either way, I’m scouting them out. For you. Because I care.

Today’s Woot is a refurbished 42″ Philips LCD HDTV for $649.99 (and $5 shipping). The same television, new is about $1500 at Amazon right now, with great reviews.

Soooooo very tempting….

Party time?

If you’re getting ready to round up some party supplies at everyone’s favorite party store, Oriental Trading, today’s your day to save. Use either coupon code ASB909 for $.99 shipping on your entire order, or use code AVA910 for $10 off your order of $10+ (coupons can not be stacked).

They have a ton of stuff available in the clearance section, too. Just sayin’.

Don’t let the name dissuade you

Today’s Amazon Gold Box Deal is the complete series DVD set of Six Feet Under, which is one of those shows I became completely addicted to long ago during a free month of HBO. My free trial ended, and I am of course too cheap to pay for premium channels, but I really missed it. More than The Sopranos, even. It’s a great show, if you don’t mind the premise of a show being that there’s this very screwed up family running a funeral home.

Anyway, today only, you can get the set for $59.99 shipped, which is about a buck an hour for some awesome entertainment. I’m pretty sure that if I already owned this set, I’d be watching it right now.

Saturday deals

I’ve just survived a slumber party. Be gentle with me—my ears are still ringing.

If you’re shopping online today, I still think you’ll want to start with the Amazon grocery clearance I posted last night, even though stuff is selling out quickly. Great deals to be had.

For those lamenting that the Friday Sale television deals weren’t quite cheap enough, check out this red alert deal at Overstock: The Sony Bravia 37-inch LCD TV is down to $749.99. Plus, the Overstock Weekend Deal is 10% off camping and outdoors. (For if you decide to skip the TV and go fishing, I guess.)

The Winter Clearance Sale at Macy’s wraps up this weekend, so get on over there before it’s over.

The free shipping on any order promo is still going on at Puritan’s Pride, if you need to get some vitamins. Or supplements. Or any of the other things they sell there.

I know we were all just scooping up the clearance items at Old Navy, but now new arrivals are 30% off this weekend only. Woo!

If you’re shopping Kohls today, I believe everyone can use coupon code GETEXTRA15 to take an extra 15% off everything! Shipping is automatically free on orders of $75+, and Kohls card holders can use code MVC5286 to get free shipping on any order.

Is it time for my nap, yet…?

Stock up time!

Amazon is doing another grocery clearance—hundreds of products are already marked down and will then be discounted an additional 40% with coupon code DISCNT4O. Lots of awesome deals to be had, if you’re willing to dig a little.

(Me, I’m stocking up on these all-natural cereal bars I told you about last month. My kids have completely demolished the case I bought!)
