Haul ‘em out

It’s wrong, I suppose, that I miss the days when a giant dump truck that my kid could put his own darn self into seemed like a great idea. And yet… here I am.

If you have a little one, might I suggest that Santa or an indulgent relative consider a Tonka Mighty Dump Truck, suitable for hauling, dumping, and even giving rides to siblings? Right now it’s $20 shipped at Amazon, which is about $10 cheaper than anywhere else, even if you don’t count shipping. (And I count shipping, because that sucker is over ten pounds.)

Of course, I wouldn’t recommend it if you have a rock garden, or anything. But otherwise… why not?

We have one of these and it’s very handy for getting the kids to help with yard work (hauling rocks, leaves, grass clippings, etc.)

MIR PROVES HERSELF PRETTY ONCE AGAIN. I’ve been eyeing this truck for the past year, thinking that this Christmas was the year my 2-year-old would be old enough for it… and now he and I BOTH get to be thrilled with it, because of the bargain price! Kudos.

    I want one of those!

Okay, that should be past tense … but I wanted one of those badly when I was a child. I just wonder how much richer my childhood would have been with one …

Your 2 year old is old enough for it, Kim :) My son got his last year (16 months) and played with it right away. He especially loved getting in and using his eyes to “bribe” mom or dad in pushing him around in it! But he also pushed it away.

True, it is only within the last month or so (25 months) that he has started putting other stuff inside it. But it got plenty of use.

A belated thanks for posting this deal! I got one for my 4-year-old and 2-year-old girls, and I can’t wait until they unwrap it on Christmas morning… although I do foresee a large amount of squabbling over whose turn it is to play dump truck. :-)
