Apparently, from reviews that I read, these are a much older set of instruments from the Rock Band series. I don't know, since I didn't order them, but from the reviews, the special value edition(this one listed here) have some very crappy instruments bundled with it. We went with the Limited Edition set and are sooooo very pleased. Careful, that is not the limited edition set with the Beatles inspired instruments.
