I hope that today brings you everything your heart desires: Love, happiness, chocolate, flowers, shiny things, whatever it is you want. (I don’t judge. It’s between you and… well, certainly not me.)

Me, I love to cook. I’m pretty sure I’m most fluent in the love language known as carbs. (What?) So naturally I’m digging this limited-time, February-only bundle deal from Pampered Chef, where you can get their deep covered baker, mix ‘n chop tool, mix ‘n scraper, and four recipe cards for just $99.

Actually, I don’t want to see anyone truss a chicken, so just the random number thing.

I love that color. I also love buying new kitchen items (especially cooking ones), but my husband seems to think that we don’t have tons of room in our apartment’s kitchen. Wow, even before I got to the “Win This!” part, I was enthralled by that gorgeous dish!
And I had a little incident last night trying to dis-truss a chicken at the table. Husband had picked up a whole roasted bird at the grocery deli (but he fixed salad & veggies and such to go with — nice!), and that bird was trussed with a very strong rubber band that my butter knife would not cut (go figure). The bird exploded as I got frustrated & pulled harder on the knife. The dog & cat sat up to watch the rest of the meal just in case there was more flying food…

I actually CAN truss a chicken. And grow a chicken. I grow all my chicken from day-old chicks and then fill the freezer with about 50 chickens a year. You have not eaten real chicken until you’ve had one this fresh roasted on an open fire. Yum…
