There’s something about hand-stamped silver

Did someone say hand-stamped custom jewelry? Why, yes. I believe that Something About Silver did—right there in their inventory of various necklaces, bracelets, rings, keepsakes and more.

Choose the design that speaks to you. Maybe it’s the generations necklace, pictured here. Maybe it’s your kids’ birthstones and personalized charms with their names and/or birth dates. Maybe it’s the stacking rings, so you can wear them in various combinations depending on your mood.

I’m kind of smitten with the “I love you more” bracelet, possibly because my husband and I are terribly immature and any declaration of “I love you” is likely to be met with “I love you more.” Heh.

Anyway, my point is that they make beautiful things. And one lucky Want Not reader is going to win a $75 gift certificate to Something About Silver this week! Because the only thing better than pretty things is free pretty things.

    I would start with a simple pendant for my daughter. The spelling of her name is unusual so it’s hard to find premade items for her. She loves artsy things and would enjoy a new necklace.

    Everything on that site is so beautiful (and would make FANTASTIC gifts, so thanks for the inspiration!) but for me personally, I love the rustic eternity necklace. It doesn’t have sparkles, it’s simple and can be worn every single day. :)

    OMG too much to choose from and all beautiful! I’d probably get the Little Gem’s necklace for my mother with my children’s names and birthstoneson it, and the Rustic Paw Print necklace for my SIL – she lost her dog earlier this summer and is still heartbroken over it, so this would give her something to always wear to remember him.     I’d definitely pick something for my mom. She has always wanted a “mother’s” ring. And while she does have 4 kids, she only has 3 grandkids. Therefore a ring or necklace wouldn’t be too overloaded. Plus, her birthday is the week before Christmas. That makes it hard to buy something nice because everyone is so focused on Christmas.

    Definitely the generations necklace–for my mother-in-law. I got something similar to this for my own mother last year, with her grandchildren’s names on it, and she wears it almost every day. I’m sure my mother-in-law would be over the moon to open the package on Christmas morning.
