Oh hey, Wednesday

How is it Wednesday already? How is October almost over?? These are the burning questions that haunt me. Particularly when I need more coffee.

Nevertheless, Wednesday means Kohls, yes? Yes. Once again they’re having a “One Day Sale,” (yes, that word doesn’t really mean what Kohls seems to think it means…) and everyone earns $10 Kohls Cash on every $50 spent. Everyone gets free shipping on their $75+ order.

Have a Kohls charge card? Use coupon code SAVEATKOHLS for an extra 30% off, and code TREAT4MVC for free shipping on any order.

If you don’t have a Kohls charge, you can use code SMS1543 for 10% off any order, or use code SAVINGAC3 for 15% off your $100+ order. (Shopping tip: You can always use two codes. If you’re a charge card holder and your order is already high enough for free shipping, you can stack this coupon with the 30% off one. You’re welcome!)

Happy Kohlsing!

So, say you did need a last minute costume…

… you could still snag a deal on one from Pottery Barn Teen, because they’ve marked their remaining costumes down, and if you order by 9:00 a.m. Pacific time tomorrow, you can get free rush shipping (and get it in time) when you use coupon code HALLOWEENRUSH.

(Just don’t forget to actually select rush shipping at checkout—it won’t be the default.)

True, most of the options are still in the upper price range, but there’s a handful of costumes for around $11 each, too. And free rush shipping? It’s like they’re not even judging you for waiting this long.

Smell yummy, pay less

Right now there’s all sorts of fall clearance and online exclusive sales prices going on at Bath & Body Works, which means it’s a great time to either replenish your stash or start thinking about stocking stuffers and teacher gifts.

Make it an even better deal: Use coupon code OCT20 for an additional 20% off through the end of the month, which can be wangled to more than take care of your shipping costs, if you do it right. (And here we understand “do it right” to mean “buy more stuff,” of course.)

Lightning deals on candy

Get ‘em while they’re hot—Amazon is running two lightning deals on candy at the moment, and as they’re both Prime eligible, you could still have them in time for Halloween.

Get the Hershey’s All Time Greats Assortment—over 3 pounds of candy—for $9.74 shipped, or choose the Hershey’s Halloween Snack Size Assortment—also more than 3 pounds—for $11.45 shipped.

But hurry; these are Lightning Deal prices and will sell out or expire, fast.

Costume clearance means hello dress-up

Okay, it’s probably a little late to be ordering a costume for this Halloween, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be getting ready for next Halloween, or that you can’t snag some deals for the kids’ dress-up chest.

Cruise on over to BabyAge and search on costume to see their assortment of marked-down goodies. Most options are down to just $8.88 from $30 or so.

If you’ve never purchased from them before, use coupon code 5off for $5 off your first order. That should just about take care of your shipping, if you’re only getting one thing. Or register for their email list and get a code for $10 off your next order.

Oooooh, I just discovered they have a variety of Santa outfits/bunting in stock, in case you’re gearing up for adorable Christmas pictures. Just sayin’.

Please don’t put it on your baby

I… can’t stop laughing.

Because: Right now you can buy this 20-piece salon nail polish set from Amazon for just under $22 shipped, which is a great deal, particularly if you have a tween or teen who’s always dying for polish. (Not that I would know anything about that… ahem… young lady, get out of my bathroom right now!) I like the price, I even like the “grab bag” aspect of it.

But what I really like the best is that this counts as a “baby” item to extend your Mom Prime when you spend $25+. Because… huh?

Stay crazy, Amazon.

Feeling Lucky with extra discounts

My deep and abiding love for Lucky Brand is hardly a secret. Sure, they’re pricey, but they also make jeans that fit me, so I forgive them. Plus, they have great sales.

Like, right now, everything on the site is an additional 20% off with free shipping. And you can apply coupon code KL6BPTB6 on top of that for another 10% off. Use those discounts in the sale section, and lots of awesome items come down to very reasonable prices, and once again I can whisper sweet nothings to my Easy Rider jeans….

Coat weather is upon us (even in Georgia)

I know that those of you in colder environments have probably been wearing your coats for weeks at this point, but here in the south we’re only just starting to dip into frosty temperatures.

This is the time of year when I typically realize I either 1) don’t know where my coat is or 2) I hate my coat. This year I’m actually prepared; I bought myself a new coat about a month ago from Lands’ End and I love it. But if you’re not quite so on top of things, you can go shop now and I’ll make it worth your while: Through October 27th (that’s Thursday), use coupon code ILOVELE and PIN 3316 to receive $40 off your $100+ purchase, plus orders of $50+ ship for free. That sounds like New Coat Justification, to me.

You could use it on something else if you wanted to, I guess. Or several something elses… with savings like this, you can afford to go a little nuts. (Thanks for the tip, Kim!)

More beauty savings, at Ulta

Here, to make up the Sephora confusion from yesterday to you, I got you this: It’s also Friends & Family time over at Ulta, with 20% off nearly everything when you use coupon code 18593. Shipping is free on your $50+ order, too.

The code works even on things like CHI flat irons (even the ones already on sale), so if you have a larger-ticket item like that in mind, this may be the time to shop.

It’s an Uncommon Goods Wine-Love-a-Thon!

How much do I love Uncommon Goods? I love them so much, that I loved them lots even before they offered to send me an assortment of their unique wine gifts for review and giveaway. But when they said, “Hey, how about you try these out, and then we’ll give a set away to your readers, too?” (hint, hint—keep reading!) I was definitely in.

For starters, there’s this Wine For Two wine glass holder made from a retired oak wine barrel stave. I’d call this item a bit more of a conversation piece than a truly functional item, but it’s sturdy and looks really striking, plus I love that it’s made from reclaimed wood. In spite of what the picture shows, this is best utilized before the wine is opened—hang the glasses upside-down in the holder, and you’ll have something to talk about before you pop the cork. (more…)
