This contest post will stay at the top of the page from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Eastern on November 23rd, 2011. Read on to find out about today’s prize and enter to win!
I am so excited about today’s contest; this is exactly the sort of product I wish had been available when my daughter was younger, and I think you’re going to find yourself just as smitten as I have.
Meet Zylie the Bear, an “inquisitive and fashionable 12-year-old bear from Manhattan.” I have to tell you that when the folks behind Zylie contacted me, I kind of went, “Huh. A tween teddy. Okay, whatever,” and agreed to let them send me one, but I didn’t have particularly high hopes, because even though she’s won a ton of toy awards, I’m kind of a cynic.
Well. I have Zylie sitting here—the Zylie one of you will be receiving, in fact—and I have to tell you, the craftsmanship on this thing is incredible. The doll itself is, as you might be able to tell, pretty much what would happen if an American Girl doll and a Boyds Bear had a forbidden love child. Sturdy, adorable, and with the unique combination of fluffy friend and humanoid body that makes her perfect for dressing up. And her clothes; hand to God, the first thing I emailed back after looking at her was, “I want her coat in my size.” So often kids’ dolls and accessories just aren’t very well made, but I can assure you that Zylie would be worth every penny if you were buying her. But you don’t have to, because you can win her from me today.
Oh, one more thing—she comes with a book about her adventures. (Because of course she does.) This is the kind of doll that some lucky little girl is going to take on all of her adventures and cherish for years and years, truly.
Want to win her? Of course you do! First, go review the contest rules and regulations, then come on back here and leave a comment on this post today (Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011) by 8:00 p.m. Eastern (that’s 5:00 p.m. Pacific) to be entered for a chance to win. I’ll pull the winner tonight and then we’ll be on to the next contest, because all contests this week will run for one day and one day only.
