This contest post will stay at the top of the page from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Eastern on November 21st, 2012. Read on to find out about today’s prize and enter to win!
Meet Caroline Abbott, the latest addition to the American Girl lineup of historical dolls. Isn’t she pretty? But there’s more to Caroline than that—her story begins with the War of 1812, and it’s a tale of suspense and bravery.
As every single one of us with daughters knows, American Girl dolls are the crack of the preteen doll industry. Though my teenager is well past begging for another one of these beauties, the truth is that when it comes to the row of dolls still sitting in her room, it’s the genuine American Girl doll that she most often pulls out to “just work on this new braiding style, Mom.” (Which, great! But I noticed you also changed her clothes. Was that part of the hairstyle, or are we just not supposed to discuss that it’s still fun to play with dolls…?)
Caroline arrives in the outfit pictured here, complete with the Meet Caroline paperback (the first in a series of six books about her life). Like all American Girl dolls, she’s 18″ tall with a posable soft body, sleep eyes, and wigged hair that’s ready for styling. And one lucky Want Not reader is going to win Caroline today.
Want to win her? Of course you do! First, go review the contest rules and regulations, then come on back here and leave a comment on this post today (Wednesday, November 21st, 2012) by 8:00 p.m. Eastern (that’s 5:00 p.m. Pacific) for a chance to win. The winner will be pulled and announced tonight—assuming I don’t gravely injure myself during Thanksgiving prep today (hey, ever since the broken-hand-on-an-apple thing, we go for the disclaimer)—and yes, Virginia, we will have yet another contest on Thanksgiving, too.
