Every morsel of Harry Potter movie goodness

We own the Harry Potter movies on Blu-ray, because personally, I like to watch it on the big TV in the dark (preferably with popcorn and family members to snuggle), but I could definitely see wanting the movies on DVD for, say, traveling. Imagine a long road trip with the kids, and how many hours of happiness you could get with Harry on board? Exactly!

Right now Amazon has the Complete 8-film Harry Potter Collection available on DVD for just $27.99 shipped. That’s their lowest price ever by about $12, and all the other current buying options start at around three times that amount.

I’m not saying you need this, I’m just saying that if there are road trips in your future, it’s definitely something to consider.

  1. Duly ordered. I think I’ve only seen the first four, and I’ve been looking for a movie for the traditional after-Christmas Eve service pizza and movie night. Thanks!

  2. Thank you Mir!

  3. thank you! kids have been asking for this!

  4. ok I just ordered this the other day at $33…will they refund me the difference?

  5. Hmm, I just checked it (late to the party today, sorry!), and it’s $33.49 – not that that’s not a good deal ….

  6. Stephanie: Generally speaking, Amazon no longer does price adjustments. That said, sometimes you get lucky. It never hurts to ask. For something like this where the price is fluctuating I don’t know how successful you’d be, though.

  7. Just saw that this same thing is being offered at Target for $9.99 right now, but you can’t get it online. Have to go brick & mortar and they only have a couple of sets per store. Not a bad deal for 8 films.

  8. I saw someone else mention that, Jill, but when I searched for availability on the Target site (you can look to see if in-store-only items are available near you) I came up completely empty. Kind of wondering if that was a 1-per-store kind of thing.

  9. I did see someone mention that the search by zip code wasn’t working well on Target.com, they had better luck when they put in an actual city. I didn’t really go searching since I already have all the movies, but thought it was worth a share if anyone wanted to find them.
