6pm wants you back, baby

Well, after some back-and-forth emailing with pretty Want Not reader Melinda this morning, I think I may have figured this one out. See, she got a 20% off code in her email to 6pm.com, and you know, that’s like having a unicorn show up in your yard. It just doesn’t happen, ordinarily. And I shop at 6pm all the time and I most emphatically did not receive a code. Hmph.

But here’s what I think: I think that if you have an account with 6pm but haven’t ordered anything in a while, they sent you a code. So if that describes you, you might want to check your email. They want to lure you back, and are willing to give you extra savings to do it.

(For the rest of us—once again, being a loyal customer doesn’t always pay off—today’s featured boutiques are still some awesome discounts. I mean, sure, yes, outerwear and shoes and such, but the up-to-75%-off dresses are perfect for those upcoming holiday parties.)

  1. I don’t know what’s going on, but I got a 10% code over Thanksgiving weekend & a 20% code this morning! And I’m definitely *not* a “haven’t shopped at 6pm in a while” kind of girl. Weirdly, in both cases I had a pair of boots just *waiting* in my shopping cart, but hadn’t pulled the trigger yet because I thought I might be due for a brandaholics code…maybe that’s the criteria for getting a special email code? Shoes in your cart? In any case, I got a pair of Uggs (don’t judge – I work at home & my feet are always cold) for under $100 & this morning a pair of Tsubo boots for just over $100 (usually $350, woooo!).

  2. I got a 20% off code this morning. I am defiantly a frequent shopper

3 time in a week and a half

  3. Maybe they’re sending codes to people who have items sitting in their shopping cart. Like an incentive to pull the trigger. I saw a news story about companies doing this practice and possibly 6pm is doing that.

  4. Yay! I got one. I haven’t shopped there in a while (I’ve been getting rewards through my credit card for Zappos instead, so have been getting deals that way AND one-day shipping with my VIP account), but this might coerce me to pull the trigger…

Thanks for having me check my “Deals” label!

  5. I got the 10% off code a couple of weeks ago and got the 20% off code as well. I didn’t have items in my cart either time but I had just purchased shoes (a lot of them) so maybe it’s the opposite. Maybe it’s the frequent shopper bonus. 🙂 Clearly Mir, they owe you a coupon code!

  6. I checked my spam folder and everything. Hmph!! (I do love the rain boots I bought on Black Friday, though. So cute.)
