Tie one on

No, no, not that—I haven’t even had breakfast yet, you lush—I mean an actual tie. You know, for the spiffy guys in your life?

Today Tie.com is having a “Cyber Monday Carnage” sale, which makes me laugh. Something about the notion of their warehouse having been turned into a mess of empty pizza boxes and discarded ties… I don’t know, it just strikes me as pretty hilarious. Anyway, you can use coupon code CYBERMONDAY2012 to take 40% off any non-clearance items, plus if you spend $50+, you’ll get free shipping.

All joking aside, I really love that this is one of the few sites where I can narrow down what I’m looking at by choosing “extra long ties”—my husband is tall and the longer ties can be hard to find.

And with that, this is officially the longest conversation I’ve ever had about neckties. I think I’m getting old.

  1. Thank you! I wanted a tie for my 12 year old, but I did not want to spend a fortune on it. Found the perfect one and it shipped and everything for $12. Better than I was hoping for.

  2. How tall is Otto? My husband doesn’t own a tie (I know, I know), but it’d be nice for him to have one for the “marry ’em or bury ’em” events. I’m not sure if he’d need a long one or an extra long one. For what it’s worth, my husband is 6’2″.

  3. Jessica, he’s also around 6’2″, but has a long torso. Hope that helps!

  4. Heh, I just measured my husband’s legs vs. torso. We’ve just discovered that his head is HUGE, by the way (compared to mine, anyway). ;~)

    Thanks, Mir!
