Indoor energy? Jump it away!

If you have a small child who’s currently trapped indoors more often than is healthy due to frigid temperatures, or if you have a kid who just always needs to be in motion, you’ve no doubt considered one of those kiddie trampolines at some point. I think they’re fantastic, but the price tends to be a little steep.

For example, right now this Alex Little Jumpers Trampoline at Amazon will run you right around $100, and that’s not chump change.

Fortunately, the very same trampoline is available through Groupon Goods right now for just $55 (and that includes shipping)! At that price, it certainly seems like an easier purchase to justify. Kids up to 80 pounds can bounce indoors, with the padded safety handle they will almost certainly neglect to use (just being realistic), and you can maybe retain your sanity on even the coldest of snow days.

I am seriously considering the “adult version” of this for my younger teenager. Sadly, there’s no Groupon deal on that one.

  1. Having been through a few indoor mini-tramps, the only adult one that will hold up is the Needak. Expensive, but in the several years my family has been using it, we’ve spent less than we spent over the years replacing lesser ones. My husband and I use it daily (fun exercise!), and our daughter uses it when she needs to de-stress.

  2. We have the Airzone 55″ trampoline with enclosure (currently $79 on Amazon). I bought it three Christmases ago and it has held up really well to a LOT of abuse, jumping, and two moves.

I can’t recommend it highly enough. With little kids, you really want an enclosure so they don’t bonk right off. Also, it made a really convenient baby cage when #2 was little! 😉

  3. We have a trampoline like this and it’s been the best purchase ever. We got it when our now 6 year old was 3 and it’s held up great through 2 kids. Get lots of use in the Cleveland winter!

  4. Just to make people aware this was recalled middle of last year….. you should make sure that these skus are not part of the recall before purchasing.

  5. Becky, I can’t imagine that this far after the recall, Groupon would be selling pre-recall units. But that’s good info to have, thank you for sharing it.

  6. As a member of Amazon Vine, I scored this for $0 including shipping, and gifted it to a four-year-old relative with autism who is incredibly active. It has been fabulous! It was easy to put together, and especially on days like this in New England, it gives him a way to work off his energy in a fun and safe way. I highly recommend the Groupon deal — even the Amazon price is worth it, but the Groupon price is a steal.

  7. My kid could use the adult one too. She HAS an outdoor trampoline, but won’t use it unless someone is watching her, “lookit me! lookit me!”
