Listen: on the one hand, I really believe that spending $200 on a margarita machine—even if it is the Margaritaville DM2000 Premium Frozen Concoction Maker and $200 is its lowest price ever—is pure crazytown. I’m certainly never going to buy one, because 1) I don’t have that much space on my counter, 2) I don’t drink often enough to justify the cost, and 3) I haven’t fallen and hit my head recently, so really, any chance of me thinking I need to spend $200 on a drink machine is not happening.

On the other hand, maybe you have a generous relative (or are a generous relative, in which case I am available for adoption) or you run an underground margarita club or you have twelve children, all of whom subsist on a smoothie-only diet. In any of those cases, maybe you want to know about this deal. Because it is a great deal on a highly-rated machine.

So… there you go. You decide. But if you get one, let me know. I’ll be right over.

  1. Our next door neighbors have one of these and for some reason, it doesn’t surprise me at all that they probably spent $200+ for it. lol I never would. I’ll just drink mararitas at their house.

  2. They probably spent even more, but clearly you’ve found the ultimate solution—just live next door to someone who has one! 😉

  3. Has nothing to do with yummy frozen drinks BUT Burts Bees has holiday grab bags right now for $15.00!! Site is moving VERY slow.

  4. We found one of these at Tuesday Morning a few years ago for $100. We don’t even really drink, but we love it. And it makes great slushies. We love the stupid thing. But $200? That’s a lot. A lot, a lot.

  5. Same model, Anonymous? Because there are a lot of different models, and given that this one is the top of the line, I’m having a hard time believing that’s what you got. Maybe a lesser model?

  6. Now that I’m looking at it carefully, it’s not the same one. Ours is cordless. We live in California so most parties are outside, and the cordless makes it easy to bring outside.

I knew we’d use it, or I’d never have gotten it. But even I’m surprised how often we drag it out and make stuff.
