Do it all with duct tape

I have always been a fan of duct tape, but ever since my son started at his current school, I’ve come to love it even more. They do crafts with duct tape there, you see, and you have never seen a prouder group of kids than those who are eager to show off all the things they recently made with this versatile wonder. (If you’re having trouble imagining the possibilities, here’s a book to check out.)

Anyway! I am currently annoyed with the Home Depot website because when you click on the “Savings Center” it goes… nowhere… but, I am currently delighted with Home Depot, because if you do a search on plaid duck tape (yes, duck, not duct) it will take you to a half-price case of the stuff with free shipping, and the sidebar will show you several other half-price options, as well.

Choose from three different printed tape deals ($10 for a case of 6 10-yard rolls), or go with the traditional silver (get 12 45-yard rolls for $30); ship it for free, and then fix whatever you need. Or make yourself a new wallet. Whatever.

  1. Mir,
You just made my day! My daughter has recently become obsessed with making
things out of duck tape and I was thrilled to see this deal:)

Thank you thank you thank you!!

  2. OHHHHH, I love this. I make bill folders out of a manila folder and duct tape and a strong magnet; it’s like a pocket that holds bills onto the refrigerator. My friends have asked for some, but I’ve been too cheap to make it happen…UNTIL NOW!

Also, Mir, have you been to woot today? It’s like a woot-off…but not? A semi-woot-off? Or maybe they are just changing it once? Any idea what’s going on?

  3. Mir, I’ve taken the liberty to use the duct tape sale info to pass it onto a moms’ FB page, including YOUR link. Hope it gets you a few pennies.
