Gooooooood morning! It’s time for my very favorite week of the year. This is when I get to play Santa all week, having spent the previous months responding to every “Hey, doesn’t our product sound neat?” pitch email which did sound neat with, “Yes, that sounds amazing, please let me give that to my readers.” If you’re new to Big Prize Week, let’s just say you’re probably not going to want to miss it.
First up: Meet MiO, Manhattan Toy’s Waldorf-flavored (okay, do not take that literally, also please don’t eat the toys) blocks-meets-dollhouse line. These are wooden figures and modules which can be reconfigured, joined together, and played with for hours on end. It’s not hard to see why MiO was crowned the 2016 Creative Child Magazine Toy of the Year for open-ended play! For this giveaway, the winner can specify which MiO set they’d like to receive from any of the ones available except the giant 42-piece one. (So, any item on that page I’m linking to other than the very first option.) MiO is suitable for children ages 3+.
