… when I scored a crazy deal on a Blu-ray player for my husband, back when we still just had a DVD player and Blu-rays were relatively new, and then my brother-in-law gently pointed out to me when I bragged about what I’d found that our TV didn’t support Blu-ray? That was a fun year. Because then I had to find a deal on an HDTV. I did and it worked out, but… ooops.
Why am I sharing this now? Well, for two reasons. First, to illustrate that I sometimes make dumb mistakes. And second, because the TV I ended up getting was $500 and our first HDTV and at the time it was an amazing deal. And today you can get a television way better (better picture, later technology, though the same size) for $100 less, because that’s always how it goes. I’m only a little bitter.

Just scored that one on Costco for $399 last week. It arrived yesterday. Setup was fairly effortless and no issues connecting it to a Samsung soundbar. Now waiting for an audio splitter and hoping DH will still be able to use his headphones so he can listen to sports when DD is home. And what a difference from our 32″ 720 TV!
