Okay; I know the last time I posted a deal for Pet Food Direct many of you scoffed and sneered and said their prices weren’t very good. Now that I have a dog of my own (have I mentioned that? I mean, today?) I’ve checked them out a little bit more, and here’s what I found:
1) Their prices on premium foods are pretty competitive. True, the mark-up on the low- and mid-grade foods is large. But if you’re buying a 6-star dog food, for example, the prices are good.
2) Shipping often kills the deal.
