Honestly, I’m not much for prepackaged sauces/foods most of the time; I prefer to cook from scratch. But sometimes you can’t beat the convenience, and I love the taste of all the varieties I’ve tried here. And when they run a special like this? It’s hard to beat the price.
I’m still VERY stocked up from an earlier special, but I’ll mention again that the curry pastes are FABULOUS in the crock pot.
I scored a major hit at a recent potluck with a vegan biryani I made by cooking chickpeas, chunks of potato, carrot and spinach with the Hyderabadi Biryani paste in the crock pot. All I had to add was salt, and some water and olive oil to make more of a sauce. I cooked the rice separately in my rice cooker, using the extra spice packet from the package. When the rice was done, I mixed everything together, took it to the party, and got rave reviews. No one would have guessed a crock pot was involved!
Why is there no Ready to Eat Butter Chicken???? I was sooo excited for that! I bought a variety pack of RTE meals. Now I need to figure out how to get Naan delivered & I’m good to go.
