Happy birthday, Sesame Street!

Category Contests

I learned the alphabet from Sesame Street. I also learned to count to 10, in both English and Spanish. And there were plenty of characters to love even before Elmo made his debut. (Don’t get me started on Elmo….) The point is, Sesame Street is celebrating 40 years on the airwaves (can you believe it??) and I say that there’s little more American. Maybe Big Bird eating apple pie and watching baseball would be slightly more American, I’m not sure.

To celebrate, there’s now a 2-disc DVD set with more than five hours of Sesame Street goodness. It’s being released tomorrow—check it out: Sesame Street: 40 years of Sunny Days. Pretty sweet, right? Here’s what’s sweeter: I’m giving away three of ’em.

If you’d like to win one, simply go review the contest rules and regulations, then come on back here and leave a comment on this post by 11:59 p.m. Eastern (that’s 8:59 p.m. Pacific) on Wednesday, November 11th, 2009 to be entered. Three winners will be selected by random number generation and a rousing game of “one of these things is not like the others.”

Ready? Go!
