Cute shoes (and earworm) ahoy

Do you know the old Coca-cola commercial, where they sing, “I’d like to buy the world a Coke” all happy-like? (Or—if you remember the original—“I’d like to teach the world to sing” is actually the song it’s b)ased on.

I can’t help it; I vow to pass by for a day, and then I end up looking, anyway (of course), and when I see Polliwalks on sale for just $7.95 I just find myself humming.

I’m telling you, I can’t help it.

No, I don’t want to buy the world a Coke, or teach the world to sing. I’d like to buy your babe some ducks, to wear on his small toes….

Stop laughing at me.

  1. Ok, that’s weird. I was singing that song all day yesterday, for no explainable reason, and for the first time in years.

  2. Actually, it’s just the opposite: The song is based on the Coke jingle. True story.

  3. They were just playing this song on npr. What are the odds?

  4. Nice, my boys were fresh out of sandals for this warmer weather and the shoes were just too cute that I had to buy some for my 2 nieces! Thanks Mir!

  5. They are SO cute! Thanks!
