My children are beyond the age of dying-for-pillow-pets, thank goodness, because I do not understand. “Look, it’s a cuddly friend you can crush with your head!” It’s confusing.
Nonetheless, right now Amazon has either the 17″ pillow pet Dragon or Unicorn complete with story book for just $13.99 apiece. Not a bad deal if your kiddo goes nuts for these.
Or if you love someone enough to give them a sparkly unicorn. (Note: I’m not sure the unicorn is actually sparkly.)
Mir, it is not sparkly but my 8 yr old jokes that hers poops sparkles. (Gotta love 8 yr old humor, right?)
I have resisted the pillow pet craze with my four for a long time, but in the last two months, the oldest bought one, then one got a pillow pet for her birthday. Now the baby is getting one for Christmas from Grandma, so I felt guilty enough to buy one for the last kid, also for Christmas.
I paid a nice price for that one just this week, so I’ll have to pass on this deal.
BTW, the oldest, when she bought hers, walked away from the cashier and said, “Now I will finally be able to sleep comfortably on long trips in the car!” Yeah. Gotta love marketing.
Man. I have obtained 1 pillow pet for Christmas but I have 2 children. But that dragon just looks so DOPEY. Dragons are awesome! What’s with the googley eyes?
My 4.5 year old has the unicorn, named “Carrot” (hah) and adores it. My 8 year old has the brown dog, “Puppy” and loves his too. They sleep with them every night and take them on car trips too. We paid full price last year because they were hot & new. I’m quite happy with the quality and value.
