(And their somewhat creepy toys!) (No, I don’t miss this phase at all, why do you ask?)
Look, I don’t have any problem with My Little Pony, actually, so if you wanted to get the Applejack’s Sweet Apple Barn Playset ($7; 53% off) and the coordinating pink truck ($10; 40% off) (because of course a pony needs a truck), well hey, knock yourself out. I don’t judge.
On the other hand, I fully admit that all of the Baby Alive toys just creep me right out, maybe especially this new line of “crib life friendship dolls,” which appear to be their version of a Webkinz kind of thing. But if you don’t look at them and wonder if they might gnaw your face off while you’re sleeping, they currently have four different ones marked down to just $5 apiece, or 71% off:
Hailey Hula
Lily Sweet
Ella Song
and
Lulu Lake
So, um, enjoy.
HAHAHAHA! Did you read the product descips? “Sweet rockin? baby doll is ready to be friends!” Immediately followed by “Her charm hides an online code that brings you a whole new world of fun.” Yeah, i don’t want to really know what that means, actually. 🙂
sweet! I’ve been looking for a good deal on that Applejack barn set. thanks for the heads-up!
(tooootally ignoring the dolls, hoping they will do the same to me.)
Neither one of those are speaking to me, but I have been so entrenched in legos and game deals, i kinda pretty much forgot my daughter, so keep on finding some girly things, k? thanks pretty girl! maybe some deals on crafty junk? or markers? we’re talking 6 year old girl Mir, thanks for doing my shopping for me! 🙂 Or some size 12-13 boots? Ü
I thought for sure this was about lalaloopsy. CREEPY!
I had one of those Baby Alive dolls waaaay back in the ’80s. A roach crawled up the hole between its legs (not really anatomically correct) to eat the remnants of the jello-consistency food that came with the doll. My mom saw it and immediately tossed it in the trash. Traumatizing, I tell you! Lesson of the story: stay away from dolls you have to feed.
Mir, you are looking quite pretty today, I must say. Just picked up 3Applejack My Little Ponies farm set dealies (1 for Christmas, 2 for the gift closet) and 2 Bakugan things (Christmas). I will say I bought a Baby Alive doll a couple years ago for my daughter. It doesn’t go online (no love-loss there), but it is super cute and makes very cute baby noises and it is her favorite. It’s a great doll, so I’m temped to try these crib ones to see if they are anything like our original one. Let me know if you come across any RC cars/trucks for a 7-year-old boy! Did I mention that you are the Best!!! Thank you for spending your day searching the web so I don’t have to!
Okay – That is a smokin’ deal on the My Little Pony playset. I have one for a certain little girl in my house and while I didn’t buy it, I know the person who did spend twice that on it. I must resist a gift closet purchase…
Oh, so thaaaat’s what daughter was talking about on her Christmas list! Well, too bad, kid! Santa didn’t get it this year. And likely never will, as “Baby Alive” creeped me out even when I was a kid.
Annie- When I started reading this post I was sure it was about those too. Husband and I had a conversation about these in walmart that made some woman grab one, look at the floor and all but run away. I felt a little bad, but those creepy button eyes haunted my dreams!
