I am not a seamstress; my expertise ends at minor repairs and reattaching buttons. But the people I know who can actually, you know, make things with needle and thread all swear that a good serger is basically the gateway drug to creating anything you might want to make.
(Me, I can barely thread a regular sewing machine without hurting myself. I’m pretty sure a serger could land me in the hospital.)
Anyway, today’s Home.Woot is a Singer Stylist Serger for just $155 shipped. A quick look at Amazon reveals that this machine usually goes for about $400. The reviews seem favorable, so I’m not sure why there’s such a big price drop. Maybe it’s an old model?
Regardless, after you get it, I would like a stuffed unicorn, please.
I would totally make you a stuffed unicorn.
