If I were a song-composing type, I would first compose many songs to honor my favorite shoes. And dark chocolate. And probably my husband and kids, too. But after all of that, I would definitely sing you a song about how much I love my Oneida silverware.
Sure, once upon a time I tried to get away with an inferior set, back when I was young and foolish. The spoons bent in hard ice cream and fork tines went wonky and the knives developed mysterious spots in the dishwasher. But once I finally saw the light and went for the complete Oneida set? Bliss. Every single piece looks just as good as the day I bought it, except for that one spoon that went through the garbage disposal (and I really don’t think that’s Oneida’s fault).
Anyway! Today if you shop at Oneida you’ll see that they’re having a huge flatware sale—up to 70% off on some of their most popular casual flatware sets! Make it even better by using coupon code DH11, which will take another 11% off your order.
Spend $99+ and it’ll all ship for free, too. The deals are awesome, but really, can you put a price on a spoon that can stand up to a pint of Ben & Jerry’s? I think not.
I’ve been waiting for you to post about their annual sale! Thanks to 4 little helpers unloading the dishwasher over the year, our supply of forks and spoons had dwindled, I suspect some got thrown away by various toddlers. :-/ Thanks for posting!
Almost 20 years ago, I stopped at a Dansk outlet and found a basket full of Odin flatware for $1 a piece. I grabbed enough for service for 8, plus some extras. It still looks great, and those pieces aren’t going to bend for anything. Plus, I love how unusual and interesting it looks. Those may have been the first sporks.
I found a great website called Dinnerware4less.com that carries name brand flatware patterns as well as dinnerware sets and crystal. I bought the Wallace Bead flatware and the Aspen Ridge dinnerware set from Lenox and I love how the flatware has held up and the simplicity of the Aspen Ridge design. If you are ever looking for dinnerware/flatware/crystal I highly recommend this site.
