Back-to-school at Lands’ End

Of course my favorite Lands’ End coupons are those with no minimums and free shipping on anything, but as school nears I get a little less picky. I know I’m not getting out of there for under a hundred bucks, anyway, so why split hairs?

Today (Monday, July 16th, 2012) only, you can use coupon code JULY with PIN 5230 to take $20 off your $75+ order, plus orders of $50+ ship for free.

Combine this with all the specials they’re running right now—one penny school logos, 40% off swim, 60% off summer—and you could clean up, easily. And that leaves your kids plenty of time to outgrow the stuff before school starts, too. Heh.

  1. Love the Lands’ End deals. Thank you!

  2. Whoo, just scored the backpacks and matching lunch bags using Discover cash too. Thank you for assisting me with mother-of-the-year award!

  3. Maybe this is a typo or they changed the amount on their site…..but that code & pin only give $20 off a $75+ order, not $25. Also, I was disappointed when I tried to order uniform shirts. They won’t allow you to combine their ‘special pricing’ (i.e. $18 shirts go down to $15 if you order a certain number) along with the coupon code. I did not find this out until I tried to check out and it removed the lower prices when I added the coupon code. 🙁 Boo Land’s end!

  4. I typoed, Heather, my mistake. Fixing it now.

They’ve done that before with “special pricing” items. I agree, boo. 🙁

  5. Heather M, sorry about the bad couponing juju you had. But the uniform shirt deal aside, I thought this was a great coupon. I even threw a shirt in for my husband (from Canvas, nonetheless!) among all the school clothes.

I never thought I’d be a LE mom, but they are slowly winning me over. And the new backpack/lunch stuff? Cute!

  6. I always “need” at least $75 in stuff from LE! I’m pretty pleased with today’s haul.

  7. Thanks. I normally do love LE. This is the first time I was disappointed when I tried to order. Speaking of uniform shirts ( polo-style ) for the kids, I was curious if there is a brand you have heard of or used that is more stain-resistant than others? My kids are 5 & 7, and once some of those stains get in, their shirts are ruined. I don’t mind paying a little more for a good shirt. But why pay $15 for a shirt you can get for $10 when it’s just going to get stained?

  8. Heather, the only “stain resistant” ones which I felt truly were came from Hanes, and they’re definitely not as soft/comfy as others—my kids didn’t like them nearly so much. I generally just made peace with throwing away shirts after a year.

  9. Thanks Mir!

  10. Hey, not sure if the stains you’re talking about on the uniform shirts are grease spots? If that’s the case, try Dawn dishwashing liquid. Put it right on the stain, let it set a while, throw in a cold wash/rinse as usual. Works great! I have yet to find a grease spot that won’t respond. I will say that Land’s End cotton shirts are the worst for attracting grease spot stains, too.

(I have also heard people having good luck with Palmolive, Greased Lightning, and putting some talcum powder on a new grease stain and letting it sit overnight. Never tried those.) Also, if you’ve got an old grease spot, you can “reactivate” it by putting some olive oil on it and then using the Dawn dish soap to get it out.
