A tricky, delicious quiz

I would certainly only be buying 6 10.5 ounce bags of Reese’s peanut butter cups if:

A) They dropped from $14.90 to $12.90 in my cart, so just $2.15/bag, or just about $.11/cup, delivered, with Prime.
B) Halloween was coming and I needed candy to give out.
C) I’d recently broken my hand on an apple (did I mention that…?)
D) All of the above!

You can skip the quiz and just buy the candy, by the way. I wouldn’t blame you one bit.

  1. Please tell us how you broke your hand on an apple. You could be saving us from future injuries…

  2. They didn’t drop to $12.90 in my cart. Waaaaaaahhhhh!!!!

  3. I just tried putting it in my cart because I was curious–peanut allergy in my household, alas–and found that when you go to checkout, a $2 “promotion applied” discount appeared. Now I will have to see if any other candy works the same way.

  4. It’s such a stupid story, I can’t even get through it without laughing anymore.

I have one of these, and last weekend we picked a bushel of apples and I happily set about making crisps and dehydrating slices and such. The machine makes it all so easy! So quick!

It was the very last apple, for the very last crisp, on Sunday night. I was pushing it onto the prongs when the big suction cup base let go. The peeler went one way, my hand and the apple, another. I ended up with a spiral fracture in my palm (and two days later, a steel plate and 8 screws).

Fortunately, the crisp was delicious. Because after the ER, orthopedist, surgeon, and physical therapy? I think it ends up costing about $25,000. (Excuse me, I have to go be dead, now.)

  5. My trick-or-treaters thank you for this! OK, really my incubating baby and I thank you, but we’ll try to save some for the kiddos in costumes.

  6. Now they are listed for $18.30. You gotta move fast in Amazon Land!

  7. Just don’t ever, EVER look at the nutrition information on the package of Reese’s cups. You really don’t want to know.

(Have you tried the dark chocolate ones? SOOOOO GOOD.)

  8. I’m glad to know there are other people out there who can break bones or get injured in the weirdest ways possible. Thank goodness the crisp was delicious! Let me guess… you finished making it before going to the ER?

I hope your dictation software keeps working!
