A quick Spongebob contest

I tried really, really hard to hate Spongebob Squarepants. I mean, he’s insipid. He’s inane. He lives in a pineapple under the sea!

But it was not to be. I find him hilarious, against all of my better judgment. Alas.

If you (and your kids) do, too, you might be interested to know that I have a copy of the Spongebob’s Pest of the West DVD sitting here, just waiting to go somewhere it’ll be properly appreciated. Could it be to you? Maybe!

I too tried to hate Spongebob… I even swore my kids would never watch him. But I like him and they do watch.

I hated SpongeBob until the movie came out. It still gets annoying after an hour or so, but the kids seem to enjoy it.

My husband has made a very rational argument as to why SpongeBob is a good role model, as far as the choices go in the cartoon world:

1. He is gainfully employed
2. He does his very best each day at work.
3. He has a pet he takes care of.
4. He’s friendly to everyone, no matter how dumb or cranky they are.
5. He does his best to have a good attitude each and every day.

Dude’s got a point.

So, anyway, we’d be over the moon to win the DVD! Thanks for the contest.

He is pretty goofy, ol’ SquareBob Spongepants. (yes, I know, but it makes the grandkids laugh. And he is a square(ish) sponge in pants, so…)

Anyway, the random number generator has not been kind to me (and after all I’ve done for it!) but I’ve always had a special affinity for electric jellyfish. They’re so pretty!

I love love love SpongeBob. And I’m glad to hear that other adults do, too. I have some little plastic SpongeBob characters that came out of various fast food kid meals and I keep them on the window ledge in my office. The students in my school (high school) like SpongeBob too, and I get a lot of positive comments from them about my little collection.

We too have tried to rid ourselves of SpongeBob, but just can’t make the cut. He is quite funny. A show our whole family enjoys. We have been looking forward to ‘Pest of the West’ for some time now.
