Today’s contest is a one-two punch of awesome for busy moms. A little something for you, and a little something for the kids. Perfection.

First, we have the Veggie Tales: Live! Sing Yourself Silly DVD, and I suspect that needs no explanation because 1) Veggie Tales = awesome and 2) there is no 2. I was so sad when my kids outgrew Veggie Tales, you have no idea. It’s been years and I am still known to bust out with a rousing rendition of “Everybody’s Got a Water Buffalo” at inopportune times. Just sayin’. This DVD will keep the kids happy for an hour.

Second, I have a brand-spanking-new not-even-available-to-buy-yet copy of Stephanie O’Dea‘s Totally Together for you. This handy little planner is like Fly Lady for for people who can’t be bothered to do Fly Lady, if that makes any sense. One of Steph’s favorite expressions is “This is real life, not a magazine!” and it shows in her awesome, easy tips for keeping your house running in a way that marries real schedules/expectations with organization. She’s brilliant. (Full disclosure: A couple of quotes from me appear in this book. But Stephanie is way more brilliant than I am.)

    I’m glad this is a random drawing and not based on the hilarious responses before mine. I, too, have kids ages 4 and 1. As a mom who is new to the stay-at-home scene, I constantly juggle entertaining and spending time with my kids, looking for a job, and reorganizing the house. I wonder if Stephanie’s new book talks about time management (I love her cook book). Anyway, thanks for the offer. I would love the chance to win.

    Oh, how I could use these two! I’m especially excited about the planner – it sounds great. I was also one of those nerdy kids who got excited at the beginning of each school year when I got new binders and filled them with dividers and fresh paper! Oh, what my kids have to look forward to! I would love a peek inside (amazon only showed the cover), but I like the idea of someone telling me when to send out holiday cards, make an appt., etc.

    I tried Fly Lady several times but could never get very far past “Go shine your sink.” Cleaning my sink at night never made me “smile in the morning”; it just made me feel resentful, like “OK, now I’m supposed to keep my sink perfect all the time?” I’d love an alternative to the Fly Lady system.

    Want this SO much! So perfect! I like FlyLady, but have trouble keeping it up…so would love an alternative. And Veggie Tales???! Awesome!
