Phyllis sent this one along, and I’ve gotta say: If Phyllis was standing here right now I’d give her a great big kiss. Yes. Because she’s so pretty. And I can’t believe I didn’t know about this site.

Love thrift stores, but having trouble finding them (or knowing if they’re any good)? Check out The Thrift Shopper! I checked my local area, which is—as it turns out—chock-full of thrift stores. And of course this is great information for me, because I just moved here. But then I checked my old zip code, too, just for kicks; and darned if it didn’t find a bunch of stores near my old house that I never knew about.

Good stuff. Thanks, Phyllis!

  1. Ohhh…thank you Phyllis and Mir! I already have this site bookmarked. I just got back from my local Goodwill (on the list) and scored on some chapter books for my son for a quarter each! 🙂

Along these same lines, if you have kiddos, check out this site: http://www.kidsconsignmentsales.com/
You can search by state and also check out the seasonal sales. Where I used to live in Virginia, there were always many sales come spring and fall. A great way to recycle all those outgrown kids clothes.

  2. THANK YOU! I had been looking for a list of thrift stores forver… I appreciate it TONS!

  3. i had just gone to craigslist asking if anyone knew of good thrift stores in the area. now this site appears! brilliant!! thanks mir. you always come to the rescue….and you are pretty, to boot!

  4. holy crap this is awesome!

  5. Man, I am already a Thrifty McThrift — I already knew about every store near me!

  6. *BIG smile*

So glad I could pass the word! I love thrifting and I love your blog and the two seemed to go hand in glove.

And thanks for the compliment! What girl doesn’t like to be called pretty?!

    Happy thrifting everyone!

  7. It told me about some new ones I didn’t know about, but left off a few of the ones I DID know about. Now I feel really pretty and smart!
