I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: For my money, a Discover Card is the credit card to have, if you only have one.
Of course I’m sure you’ve already signed up for your Get More bonus this quarter—allowing you to earn 5% on eligible grocery, movie, and restaurant purchases—but now they’re offering a second bonus for the holiday shopping season: You can go sign up to double your regular cashback from November 15th through the end of the year.
This is where I tend to thumb my nose at the cash-only way of life. I make hundreds of dollars back every year by paying for everything with my Discover Card (which I of course pay in full every month), not to mention the savings I reap when I redeem those dollars with their partners. I pink puffy heart Discover.
And I am right there with you! It does add up to quite a bit. Although I would note that if you ever accidentally pay a couple of days late, Discover Card finance charges are higher than just about anybody else’s. It made the mistake hurt even worse.
