One word about shopping/shipping: Snow

For those of you who like to push off your holiday shopping as long as possible, having Amazon Prime this year probably feels like a saving grace. Two day shipping for free! Cheap overnight shipping! Why, you could wait to shop until just a few days before the holiday!

Except… don’t do that. According to meteorologists, it’s going to be a very white Christmas for much of the country, and you can expect some shipping delays as the weather worsens. (Even if you don’t live in an area where it will snow, chances are your stuff may be moving through affected areas.)

Bottom line? Get your shopping done, folks. Better done than delayed.

  1. thanks for the heads up!

  2. I should probably figure out my dad’s gift sooner than later then…. grr.

  3. OOOHHHHH! We’re in the possible zone. It hasn’t snowed on Christmas where I live since I was in the 4th grade….21ish years ago! AND I DIDN’T GET TO PLAY OUTSIDE BECAUSE I HAD CHICKENPOX!!!! (yes, I am still bitter)

  4. While the kid in me says “Cool!” the adult in me says…Awww, crud. 🙂

  5. Ok, I feel bad for Stephanie. If you were my kid, I would have let you play outside.

  6. I live in Louisiana….. I think I’m safe. Besides, I officially finished Christmas shopping on December 1st which is a new personal best for me! But much to my husband’s dismay, I still check in here at least twice a day. I just never know what you might post that I can’t live without. 😉

  7. My last order for Amazon goes in tomorrow, but thanks for the heads up! Looks like a white Christmas for me in New England.

  8. Just an FYI, Amazon is also offering a deal for a year of free 2-day shipping for students. All you have to have is an e-mail address ending in .edu. SO if you are a student or paying for your kid to go, might as well get something good out of it and sign up.
