Contest: Win a customizable Flying Buttress bag set

Contest time! Things have been a little slow ’round here of late (translation: real life has a crazy way of cutting into blogging time…), and so I think it’s time to get back into giving out goodies when I can. Yay!

The folks over at Flying Buttress Bags know that the only thing tween and teen girls like better than cute bags is the ability to change ’em up. So what did they do? They developed a line of handbags, tech cases, and lunch boxes where interchangeable panels could be snapped on and off to change the look pretty much whenever. It’s a lot more affordable than accumulating more bags, and easier, too, because you don’t have to transfer all your stuff to a different bag every time you want a change. Sweet!

The panels all fit every product they make, but they sent me their Birdie Bag, which is a a sparkly denim bag perfect for girls of any age—use it as a clutch with a wrist strap, or attach a shoulder strap to use it as a cross-body purse. It’s cute enough just as it is, but they’ve also included the Lily panel in yellow and the Mona Lisa panel in white (this one is your blank canvas to decorate however you like). Together, the bag and panels would retail for $50 plus shipping, but one lucky Want Not reader is going to win this set just because they’re pretty.

    I can totally see my niece using this and loving how interchangeable it is! (Heck, I wish I had one like that. The only thing I get sick of with my purse is how the outside looks the same all the time. I hate changing purses and having that “where is everything now?” period to get used to the new one.)     Whoa, major flashback! When I was in junior high the most popular thing was to have these purses with wooden handles, and the purse art would attach with buttons, and girls could change the purses to match their clothes. And 30 years later, viola,it’s back!
