It’s time for another giveaway! Our pals over at NOVICA—purveyors of fabulous Fair Trade, artisan gifts from all over the world—have been generous to Want Not yet again. They gave me two gift certificates, one for me and one for you. Could you find something fabulous to spend $50 on at NOVICA? I bet you could. Last time I got some beautiful hand-blown drinking glasses, but they have gorgeous jewelry, hand-crafted household items, and more.

    Oooh, I have been looking for new earrings for myself for some time. Can’t ever quite seem to pull the trigger, but the Dancing Skeletons are lovely, and just my style.

    I would get something involving elephants, but it would be hard to choose because they have so many nice sculptures and wall hangings. My favorite so far is the “Mother Elephant” soapstone sculpture.

    I somehow always get sucked into the jewelry section of this site whenever I’m on there, and I have ordered jewelry from them. (The sad part is that while I love jewelry, I rarely wear any or change up the few pieces that I do regularly wear.)     I love their jewelry and mirrors, but really would like a shawl. They have a lovely one called Gray Gardens. It would be perfect for curling up on the couch wrapped up in and reading a great book this Fall/Winter.

    The Confetti Highball glasses – I’d have to add a few bucks to the certificate but they would be perfect with my multi-colored Fiesta dishes! I need new glasses in the worst way but I am too cheap to buy new ones when my cabinet is full of [mismatched!] glassware. Plus, they are gorgeous!

    Dang! I would really like an elephant painting, particularly “Pretty Snow,” but even with the gift certificate, they are out of my price range. In the reality-based world, I’d go with the “Crystal Turtle” iolite earrings or necklace. They are so cute!
