2013 Big Prize Week Day 1: Hess Truck

Welcome to this year’s version of Big Prize Week! After many years of doing this giveaways, I feel like the Hess Toy Truck of the year has become a staple ’round here, so why not kick off the week with it? And yes—like always—my husband wants to know why I don’t ask for a second one so that he can keep it.

The 2013 Hess Toy Truck and Tractor set is another beauty in the line; both vehicles have realistic lights and sounds (and come with Energizer batteries so they’re ready for play right out of the box). And somehow I didn’t realize this before, but they’re now making companion apps for the Hess trucks now, too. So you can download “Tractor Trek” for even more fun with your set this year. Or you can just collect this alongside your other Hess Trucks and put it on a shelf. I don’t judge. But I’d probably take it down and play with it, just so you know.

I have one beautiful 2013 Hess Truck set to give away today to a lucky Want Not reader. (Also one slightly disgruntled husband, but I’m keeping him.)

I give Hess trucks each year to my nephews. I was not aware, but Hess is really only big on the East Coast… so one year, an uncle was visiting from away when the truck was openend.. and the uncle played with it more than the kids. He’d never seen one before, and was so impressed with the quality!

LOVE Hess trucks. If I am lucky enough to win this, it will go to my “giving tree”, as I know how much these trucks are loved.
