Personally, I wouldn’t want it for free

It wouldn’t be the impending holiday season without a frenzy over the latest Elmo toy. How on earth did anyone ever know it was time to start Christmas shopping, before Elmo started giggling? The mind boggles. Anyway!

Apparently folks are all in a dither over this TMX Elmo. He’s going for big bucks on eBay, and lots of stores are sold out. This is causing parents everywhere to rend their garments and gnash their teeth and wail. I hear some kids are pretty bummed, too.

Want a chance to win a TMX Elmo? Check it out:

Shop at All Aboard Toys from now through Friday, November 10th, and every order gets you an entry into their daily TMX Elmo drawing. [Edited to add: Looks like you can also just enter here without making a purchase.]

You can also use coupon code nmr15tmx1006 for an additional 15% off your purchase. And everything is on sale (to some degree) already, through midnight tonight.

Go forth and shop, but don’t blame me if you end up with a knee-slapping Elmo in your house. I tried to warn you.

  1. If I could win one of those for my granddaughter, it would go a long way toward paying my daughter back for any grief she might have given me growing up. I think I’ll give it a try. Vengeance is mine.

  2. I don’t understand the rush of insane parents to purchase ridiculously overpriced toys like the giggle-tastic elmo or this newer, upgraded version.

Seriously, any child young enough to want to play with Elmo is still too young to actually know what the hell a TMX Elmo is unless the parents introduced them to the idea of one.

I can’t imagine waiting in lines for several hours to buy one – that’s all.

  3. The original Tickle-Me-Elmo was possessed enough, what with the going off everytime someone walked by him (“Elmo’s not ticklish there!!!”). I can’t imagine why people are going nuts over this new one.

  4. I’m with you, Jen. I’m of the K.I.S.S. mentality. Why complicate it too early? Wait until they ASK, and then wait some more!

  5. Did you see that it’s selling for over $200 on Ebay? I can’t imagine what it will be selling for in December!

Instead of a good night story with my kids we had a good night elmo video party. Thanks!

BTW my eight year old boy is addicted to this blog now. He checks every day for the freebies!

  6. That thing is just creepy.

  7. Ooops,I mean they’re selling for over $100!
