Hello! A bit of a service announcement:
I’m not sure what happened, but all of my posts from yesterday have mysteriously disappeared. Poof! Gone! I don’t know why or how, but I do know that the big Overstock dealio was cross-posted to a few other bargain sites (hello, SlickDealers! I see you!) and my traffic was a wee bit high yesterday, so it’s possible there was some sort of crash I missed and my hosting service restored at an earlier point. I have no idea.
All I know is that I did in fact holler down the stairs to my husband to confirm that I did, indeed, post yesterday. I sort of thought maybe it was just me.
Anyway! I’m going to repost the Barnes & Noble deal, and then we are off to make the long trek to Georgia (about 14 hours from here), so I’ll be gone the rest of the day.
Please try not to break the blog again, and turn off the lights when you leave. Thanks.

Sorry to have caused you to crash. I know that about 2,000 people wrote asking for the free Club O membership before the deadline (and, as predicted, about 200 since then!) Sorry, late folks: I gave a grace period (especially to those who were polite about it), but when people are writing me 10 hours after the deadline, that is pushing it.
Those who got the Club O: please do me a favor and, when you get your account (usually a few days), if you like it then just try to tell a few friends about us.

Thank you for your response Mr. Byrne. I was one of the hordes who wrote you before the deadline (June 25th actually) but I have not received any indicator yet of what to do next. Should I keep checking my new Overstock account, or will I receive an email indicating the accounts new status, or…?
I’m sorry if this is appearing as rude or pushy, I apologize if I’ve come across that way. I just don’t know what to expect (if anything) next.

But I know FW’ers (and SD’ers) can get greedy, and I didn’t want to ruin the deal for who it is intended for. So I held off and just told my mom.

I sent an email to Patrick on June 26th, well before the deadline. I hadn’t heard anything back, so I contacted Overstock’s Live Chat today and was told by Customer Service to contact Wantnot.net about it(??) That didn’t make a lot of sense to me.
I guess only some of the people who replied received the membership then…?

July 17th, 2007 at 7:34 amDid you check your Overstock account? If I logon, I can see it. Also, the e-mails that I get tell me to renew my club O membership before it expires and save $5. I never received an e-mail from them but the Club O has been added to my account.
Thanks Divrchk, but when I log in there doesn’t seem to be anything about being a club O member.
