Have you ever shopped at Sturbridge Yankee Workshop? If you haven’t, you’re in luck—they’re offering $20 off for new customers. The only rule is that your order must total $20 or more.

Use coupon code 1J5520 for your $20 savings. (Looking for a small filler item because you’ve chosen something almost $20? Search for peppercorns. They’re on sale for $3.50.)

Coupon expires October 6th, 2007… but I wouldn’t be surprised if they pull it before then. Lots of cute stuff there. Maybe it’s time to start your holiday shopping?

  1. Check out the monkey bread under internet exclusives, new england desserts. Just under $10, so you can get one of each flavor for the price of one. And a portion goes to Heifer to help stamp out hunger.

  2. How cool is this? Thanks SO much, Mir — I just got a really neat little clock for my husband. $12 shipped!

  3. Wow, I just tried to order 3 breads…. they want $9.99 shipping! Guess I’d better look for something with cheaper shipping…

  4. I think shipping starts at $6.99…
Not bad if you find an item that you want for about $20…

  5. I just got a cool wreath for my front door. It will look great this Fall. I got the pepercorns to get me over the $20 mark. All that for $10.89 Pretty Cool!! Thanks Mir

  6. SWEET PEPPER GRILL SAUCE: $8.95
    STRAWBERRY LEMONADE MIX: $7.95
    PEPPERCORNS: $3.95

I don’t think I did too bad. That comes out to 20.85 plus shipping was 7.84

  7. I got it – Wild Blueberry Muffin Mix, Banana Chocolate Chip Monkey Bread, and Pink Peppercorns. I pay $7.84. Awesome! The first 2 items are out of stock, but they’ll be here in plenty of time for Christmas (it says it takes 2-4 weeks)!
I was at a loss for ideas for some friends of mine – now I’m done with them for Christmas! Thank you thank you thank you!

  8. Thanks, Mir! I used this one to send a thank you gift to my friend’s parents, who generously let us crash their family beach vacation over Labor Day weekend. Of course, I am now keeping my fingers crossed that those Yankees notice my THIS IS A GIFT comment and don’t send them the invoice that shows I spent less than $11 including shipping….

  9. I tried this last night (and the coupon was applying), but decided to sleep on it before completing the purchase. This morning it said that the discount was not valid (and nothing else). I just tried again, just in case, and now it says, “Invalid Coupon Code. Please call 1-800-343-1144. Notice: 1 use per customer. Can not be applied to Gift Certificates.”

That’s what I get for thinking before buying. *sighs* Has anyone been able to get this to go through today (9/13)?

  10. It didn’t work for me, either.

  11. Didn’t work for me just now. Bummer.

  12. Crap! I just tried it and it didn’t work for me either. 🙁

  13. And that was a cute little suitcase clock, too. Too bad, won’t be buying anything from them now. Coupon didn’t work/listed as invalid. Hmph.

  14. I emailed the last time and received an answer from them. I wondered about the last error message (I posted it above), so I figured to go to the source:

“We were having problems with the coupon code being used online. You can place the order over the phone by calling 1-800-343-1144. Thank-you.”

I decided not to get my item, but maybe it will work for someone else to call and use the coupon code, as the CS rep says.

  15. I just got an email saying the peppercorns are now a cancelled item and will no longer be available. If I want, I can add something else to my order to bring it over $20, otherwise my coupon won’t apply. Problem is, what else can I add for just over $3 that won’t increase my shipping costs by more than a dollar or two? Anyone else have this happen and find a solution?
